Chapter 137 Being Nice To Her

  • ​After reaching the packhouse, Elara only wanted to prove her innocence. Silas was going to tell her about her aunt and her bloodline. When she reached the dungeon, the guards stopped her, their sharp weapons crossing to block the path.
  • ​“You can't be here… or do you want to kill us as well?” one of the guards said mockingly, a sneer twisting his lips. Elara’s eyes narrowed, her pulse quickening with anger; the place was now heavily guarded by men with cold, accusatory glares.
  • ​“Maybe I should… wouldn't that be nice?” she remarked sarcastically, taking a sharp step forward. The two guards exchanged nervous, questionable glances and shuffled backward as if afraid of the fire in her eyes. Elara stealthily scanned her surroundings, her gaze darting over the stone floor and the shadows. There was nothing unusual.
