Chapter 39 Something Happening To Elara
- Elara POV~
- My head felt heavy, and the room was spinning. My mouth tasted sour, and I threw up in the sink again. I gripped the cold porcelain tightly, the frantic pulse in my temples hammering against the rhythmic thud of my heart. The image was burned onto my eyelids: Alpha Fenris was a monster, a killer with no mercy. I had seen him rip those servants apart before, but this was worse. He had brutally gouged that man's eye out and torn off his arm. The sight made my stomach heave again.
- “I can't stay here,” I whispered, splashing ice-cold water onto my face. It did nothing to stop the inferno of panic building inside me. My hand instinctively pressed against my lower belly, a sudden, fierce protectiveness overriding the nausea. The hands of death touched me. The thought was a chilling violation, making me gag.
