• Rafael rushed to his bedroom as soon as he was informed Elara had regained consciousness. The doctor was already there, examining her. Rafael smiled as he sat on the bed beside her.
• “How are you feeling… does it hurt anywhere… do you need anything?” he asked as he reached for her hand, but to his shock, Elara withdrew her hand and shifted a little away from him. He glanced up and saw that look in her eyes...that distant look.
• “Doctor, she…” Rafael turned to the doctor, who brought out his pen torch to examine Elara's eyes. After he was done, he moved back and let out a silent sigh.
