• Just then, the alpha king, my supposed husband's phone rang as he tried to ignore it. It rang again before he finally picked up. His expression was filled with excitement.
• "Hey, my friend, Garrett," he exclaimed into the phone, happy to talk with him. My heart sank as he referred to the caller as Garrett. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy as I listened to them exchange pleasantries about how long they hadn't spoken and Garrett asking about his wife and son.
