Chapter 25

• "Make a wish and I'll make mine! It's 12:00 AM," she said swiftly as my eyes gazed up at the clock.
• "Why not make a wish for us both," I added, and she nodded. I watched her run towards the open window as she stared out into the night. Curious, I got up and walked towards her. Leaning on the wall, I crossed my arms across my chest, wondering what she was doing.
• I watched her close her eyes for a moment, then open them with a smile curving her lips. "I made a wish for us both," she said, but I remained silent. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of wish she had made for me.
