• Just then, I heard my phone ring as I watched the expression on my alpha Garrett’s face. He was wondering who it would be. I looked at the phone screen to see my husband’s name, Michael, flashing on the screen. My gaze now met alpha Garrett, who stared at me, his expression unreadable. I was confused about whether I should pick up the call or not. I dropped the phone as the ringing ended, only for it to ring again. I decided to pick up, giving Garrett a short glance before putting the call near my ear.
• “Hello,” my husband called out, my voice was slightly trembling.
