• Maria’s POV
• As the heavy rain poured outside, the sound of the thunder and striking lightning continued in the atmosphere non stop. Inside Alpha Garrett’s room, I was now wrapped in one of Garrett's dried clothes as I shivered less due to the help of the fireplace as Garrett ordered the maid to serve me some food.
• I sat at a small table, enjoying the meal that was served to me. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed every bite as I tried to make conversation with Alpha Garrett. I wanted to keep him company and maybe even distract him from his troubling thoughts.
