• The next day was a boring day. It's barely 24 hours that my Alpha Garrett has travelled, and I can't shake off the empty feeling that consumed me. The mansion felt too quiet without his presence. I longed for his strong arms around me, the reassuring sound of his voice, and the warmth of his touch.
• Feeling restless, I decided to reach out to my best friend, Jessica, for some company. As I poured out my loneliness to her over a video call, she suggested coming over to keep me company. However, I hesitated, knowing that it wouldn't sit well with Alpha Garrett if he found out I had someone over while he was away. I couldn't risk upsetting him, not when I longed for his return more than ever.
• Just then, Jessica's voice brightened as she shared some exciting news. “The S country had extended an invitation to the alpha king and queen for their upcoming festival, but due to their busy schedule, they wouldn't be able to attend. Isabella, their daughter, is still also dealing with emotional turmoil and has declined the invitation on her parents' behalf. In my place, the alpha queen had asked, as the chief maid, to represent the family at the festival.” I could see Jessica's happy bright face through the phone screen.
