• “Oliver, give me your phone. I want to see the picture of me and Shawn that was sent by that stranger.” Nicole looked at Oliver, asking her boyfriend to hand over his phone. Nicole’s heart felt uneasy. She needed to see the photo Oliver mentioned for herself.
• Oliver picked up his phone from the table and handed it to Nicole. Nicole took Oliver’s phone, gazed at the screen, and closely examined the photo of her and Shawn—an image that made it look as if she and Shawn were kissing. In reality, it was just Shawn hugging her. Nothing more.
