Chapter 76 The Fight

• Oliver stared at Nicole, peacefully asleep in his arms. The night had grown late, yet sleep still eluded him. His mind kept replaying the argument they had earlier.
• Everything had become complicated because of Nicole’s past relationship with Shawn. If only she hadn’t been involved with Shawn, none of this would’ve happened. Still, Oliver wouldn’t blame her—it was his fault from the beginning, not hers.
• Slowly, Oliver eased himself out of bed, careful not to wake her. He grabbed a pillow to replace his presence beside her, so Nicole wouldn’t suspect anything if she stirred. Then he gently pulled the thick blanket over her and stared at her—taking in the calm expression on her sleeping face.
