Chapter 43 The Stubborn Woman

• Nicole gazed deeply into the eyes of the man with dark brown irises standing before her. She still hadn’t said a word. Yet, her gaze seemed to hold a million unspoken meanings, sparks of fire burning within.
• In that room, it wasn’t just Nicole and Oliver, but for a moment, they seemed to forget anyone else existed. Their eye contact was so intense, it made them lose themselves. Oliver remained where he was, his hand still holding back the large display piece to keep it from hitting Nicole.
• Only after a moment did they realize how long they'd been locked in that gaze. Oliver quickly pulled Nicole and Marsha away from the display. Once they were safely out of the way, he helped the two guards reposition the large ornament.
