Chapter 31 The Dinner Incident

• Oliver muttered, “Nicole,” under his breath, frozen in place as his eyes locked on her. Shock hit him like a wave—he hadn’t expected to see her here. He didn’t even know Shawn was coming, much less that he’d bring Nicole to meet their grandparents.
• Damn it. Rage flared inside Oliver, heat rising to his temples as he watched Nicole standing so close to Shawn. But he forced himself to stay composed—his grandparents were watching.
• It wasn’t just Oliver who was surprised to see Nicole; Shania was just as stunned to find her here—especially since Nicole had come with a handsome man. Wait—Shania felt like she recognized him. She wanted to ask, but held back. After all, she hadn’t even been introduced to Oliver’s grandparents yet. At the very least, she had to keep up her elegant and gentle demeanor.
