Chapter 22 The Unhinged Man

• Nicole sipped the fruit juice that had just been delivered by the hotel staff. She was feeling much better now. The last time she took her medication was earlier that afternoon. Now, at night, Nicole was too lazy to take any more pills. Besides, she felt perfectly fine, so she didn’t see the harm in skipping a dose.
• She set the glass down on the table, leaned back against the headboard, and slowly closed her eyes. Her mind was utterly exhausted. Nicole desperately wanted to return to Switzerland, but that was out of the question for now.
• Every time she tried to accompany Shania to look at wedding venues, something seemed to get in her way. Honestly, Nicole felt like she was cursed. The more she tried to distance herself from Oliver, the more fate seemed to push her closer to that infuriating man.
