Chapter 44 Never Changed
- “Oliver, please keep Nicole company for a bit. I need to call Grandpa. He’s not home yet, and it’s getting late. I swear, if he's been tempted by some young woman, I’ll kick him out of the house. - Oliver sighed softly, listening to his grandmother's rant. “Grandma, Grandpa only loves you. He’d never do that to you, Grandma. Don’t be ridiculous.”
- “Yes, yes. Well, you keep Nicole company. I won’t rest until I’ve spoken to your grandpa,” Marsha said quietly, though still sounding annoyed.
