• "Alright." "No." The two voices echoed simultaneously. Julian Shaw glared at his wife. "All right? This woman responds really quickly. "No? "Why not?" Madam Shaw's eyes were fixed on her son. With the divorce paperwork in her hand, she stated, "Susan has already signed the divorce agreement papers." All of the divorce paperwork was signed! There was a flash of simmering wrath in Julian's eyes.
• He needed to know what about the conditions of the divorce agreement was so alluring that Susan agreed to the divorce right now. Julian quickly perused it, his face growing gloomier by the second. The conditions of this arrangement stated that Susan would receive nothing at all in the event of her divorce from him. Why would she still consent to the divorce in such a scenario? How desperate was she to get away from him? They got along well when they were together, and he believed that she would be more or less hesitant to file for divorce if he did. The fact that she gave up on their marriage so readily and made no requests from the divorce was completely unexpected.

Julian, you are free to file for divorce from her. She believed Susan was a fool for sacrificing what she saw to be a huge sum of money for the sake of her alleged self-respect. "Woman, did you forget all I've said to you previously?" Julian said icily, ignoring his mother as he turned to face Susan. Susan's mouth quivered a little. The only way they would be apart in life, according to Julian, would be if he had died and she had become a widow. He also declared that he would never divorce her.
