Chapter 33 The Caregiver

  • Did Julian wish to eject her? There was a spark of refusal in Isla's eyes. "Chairman Shaw," she replied, gritting her teeth, "Madam Shaw will be unhappy if you do this." "Do I need you to worry about what goes on between my mother and me?" Julian gave her a disinterested glance. "You have three minutes. If you're still here after three minutes, I'll personally eject you." Isla could see he wasn't kidding by the look on his icy face. She stomped off after that. I'm not yet defeated! Madam Shaw is going to defend me.
  • Susan raised her sleep-deprived head and gazed at Julian in a blur. "You pushed her away? You really like her, don't you? Have you grown weary of her already? Julian's heart was racing when he saw Susan's deranged expression, but he was unable to express it, so he solemnly said, "Yes, I'm tired of her." "Oh, it looks like Mom will send another new person over soon," Susan said. Julian spoke calmly, but his palms tightened a little. "Susan, there won't be anyone else." Susan's head cocked. "Why wouldn't there be?" "Julian, what is he talking about? Mom clearly wants a grandchild. There will soon be Isle Green or Isle Black if Isle Brown is unable to succeed.
  • Why wouldn't anybody else be present? I'm not sure if the next individual will be worse than Isla. Susan's eyes flashed with a hint of concern at that thought. As he extended his arm to stroke Susan's hair, Julian's face was complex. "There won't be anybody else, I say. You can rely on me. Susan nodded and gave him a blank stare. "Oh." "Well done, girl. I'll go get you some new clothing. Julian leaned down and raised her. "No, there is no need. "I can handle it on my own," she answered. Julian brought Susan into the bedroom and changed her clothing carefully, ignoring her difficulties. Additionally, he placed a warm cloth on her forehead.
