Chapter 189 The Truth

  • Susan pursed her lips hard. It appeared that Julian was not aware that Isabelle had made such a status update. Otherwise, he would never use such a thing to deceive her. It seemed like Isabelle had set the setting of that post so that only Susan would see it. Clearly, Isabelle was confronting her. That underlying message was evident to her. What the heck? Should she go like a crazy person to the Shelbys, give Isabelle a hard smack, and call her a 'b*tch?' Or should she overcome her pride and make amends with Julian right away so that he would return to her?
  • It seemed a little snarky to Susan. She was no longer important to Julian, or he had lost interest in her. For her to push herself on him would be completely pointless. The type of love she wished for should be immaculate and perfect. But she had adjusted too many of her standards for Julian now. All she could hope for was that he wouldn't deceive her. Was asking for too much? Julian, however, was unable to accomplish that. Why should she continue if that were the case? It would be meaningless to do so. She was as pale as a sheet now. She then gazed out the window blankly. Gradually, her gaze appeared determined.
  • At last, she made up her mind. "I'll fulfill your wish if you can't decide between Isabelle and me." The one-week period gave the impression that Julian was only waiting for time. He wasn't sure if he should pick Isabelle or Susan. He wanted to give it some thought for that one week. But what if, after a week, he decides to pick me? "Do I want that kind of victory?" Susan shook her head and grinned cruelly. Now she was hurt, and no matter what happened, that hurt would never go away. I want your complete love, Julian, or none at all. 'If you cannot offer me that, I'd rather abandon everything.’
