Chapter 12 Theft
- Susan could not be disturbed, even though she heard what the store employees had to say. All she wanted to do was get out of there. Luke squinted at Susan's graceful back. Where Luke was staring, Mandy's gaze followed suit, and her eyes were grim. Could he be unconsciously searching for her, even if he had forgotten about her? "Susan, you've already taken Luke away." She muttered to herself, "Don't expect a second time." Mandy approached the crew and muttered something when nobody was listening. "Miss Ainsley, I..." The employees paused.
- "You are aware of who I am. Just follow my instructions; I know your employer. The repercussions will fall on me. Should you disobey me?" There was a dangerous spark in Mandy's eyes. "I understand!" the staff said as she pulled her neck back. Susan was ready to leave the jewelry store when Mandy grinned. The voice of a staff member suddenly echoed around the store, saying, "This Hetian jade bracelet color is different." It must have been swapped by someone. Changed it? Susan came to a halt and scowled as she turned to see. She had been grabbed by the personnel as they ran over.

She slipped a bracelet inside Susan's luggage while the staff concealed it from the others. Susan had no idea what the employees were doing. It truly seemed to her that the bracelet had been exchanged. "The entire time, I held my luggage. How could I change the bracelet in time? Is there a miscommunication here?" A misunderstanding? "There aren't many customers in the store," the employee said, raising her voice.
