Chapter 24 I Skipped Breakfast
- Julian hugged Isla and went out the door, ignoring the look of horror in her eyes. Susan had really awakened and was in the living room. There was a hint of an evil smirk on Julian's face as he looked at her. He raised Isla's chin with his outstretched hand. "Baby, you’re so beautiful." Isla's eyes glowed and glittered with happiness. With a soft coo, she said, "Chairman Shaw, you're so naughty..." "Don't you like it?" Julian moved closer on purpose. Isla reddened.
- Julian had a face that was flawless whether viewed up close or down. If she didn't have a chance with a man as attractive and well-off as him, she would be struck by lightning. Seizing the chance, Isla grabbed Julian by the neck. They appeared to be kissing since they were standing so close to one another. Susan watched the intense moment between Julian Shaw and Isla Brown as she was leaving. She felt the strain in her heart even though she was ready. Susan took a deep breath to quell the pain in her heart, then forced herself to look away. She then silently exited the house after taking the suitcase.
- All the while, Julian's gaze was fixed on Susan. His eyes glowed with rage as he watched her walk away without a response. Isla whispered softly, "Chairman Shaw, you scared me last night." But his mischievous grin was no longer there. After giving Isla a chilly look, he took her arms off of his neck. "Chairman Shaw?" Isla continued to give him a beautiful glance. Julian remarked icily, "Isla Brown, my mother is my mother, and I am me," with a trace of contempt on his face. I don't share my mother's wishes. You get it?
