Chapter 134 Discovered
- The water continued to trickle. It was dripping nonstop. Susan did her best to keep her terror under control by concentrating on counting the drips in the complete darkness. Just one drop. Two drops. Three drops. One hundred droplets. Five hundred droplets. A thousand droplets. The more drops there were, the more frantic Susan grew. She counted off another drop of water in her trance, feeling as though she was getting closer to death. It was indeed a huge anguish to be helpless as she waited to die. At first, Susan was still keeping track of the quantity of droplets sanely.
- Gradually, as the air thinned down and the oxygen deprivation grew much more acute, her thoughts got fuzzier. She began to lose her train of thought. To date, how many drops has she counted? Five thousand? Three thousand? For what reason may she suddenly not respond? Susan held out her palm, wanting to implore herself to calm down and force some common reason into her mind. However, as soon as she lifted it up, her hand slid down limp.
- At this point, she lacked the strength to even lift her hand. Susan quickly fell into a deep state of depression. There was, in fact, very little oxygen. She was obviously deep in the cave. According to the caverns' characteristics, one would notice more intersections and pathways the further they went into the cave. Out of all those convoluted roads, they had to identify the one that led to her. What else was there for him to do, even if it was Julian? Initially, she made every effort to avoid thinking such ideas. She did her best to be optimistic. She hoped she would make it out alive.
