Chapter 41 Bringing Out The Brother
- At the Shaw house, Jacob scowled as he surveyed the area. "Susan, this is not our house." Susan said softly, "I'm married now, and this is my new house. I've already sold the old one, brother." "New house?" After a moment of hesitation, Jacob nodded his approval. A sigh of relief left her throat. Before long, she laid Jacob to sleep and approached Julian. She said, "Julian, thank you...for today." She wouldn't have known what to do if Julian hadn't been here today.
- "Is your gratitude only verbal?" Julian's eyebrows went up. "What do you want, then?" She became a little red. He remarked nonchalantly, "At least a kiss or something like that," but Susan tiptoed and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. Julian's eyes narrowed. Susan had already moved back to her original position and gave him a bashful glance. "Is that enough?" Julian's eyes glowed as he studied her slightly pink face. He was aching to remark that it was never enough. But this was a wonderful beginning. He didn't mind waiting any longer because he had already waited so long. He thought he would win her heart entirely one day.
- Julian arched an eyebrow and opened his mouth to speak, but Jacob's voice interrupted. "Susan, I want it too." "Brother, what is it?" Susan came right over. "You kissed him." Jacob gave her a stern look. Susan flushed after her brother caught her. "Brother..." "You kissed him and didn't kiss me," Jacob grumbled. "Pfft." Susan chuckled. Her brother was a youngster now. She leaned forward and gave Jacob's face a deep kiss right away. "How about this?"
