- Susan was also comforted by Julian's poise. She nibbled on her bottom lip. "I... I want to go and look for my brother too." "I'll go with you." Julian grabbed her hand instead of stopping her. Susan's racing heart was calmed by the warmth of his hands. Within 80 kilometers of the nursing home, hundreds of individuals were looking and holding Jacob's photo after Julian made a single call. Susan was taken directly to the nursing home by Julian. "You were saying that Jacob's condition suddenly changed yesterday," Julian asked the nurse on duty. "Before his condition changed, what was he doing?"

We deliver a few copies of the newspapers to his room on a regular basis to aid in his speedy recovery. As usual, Mr. Shelby was reading the newspapers before his condition deteriorated. Susan was desperate enough already. Even she was unaware that she was unwittingly depending on Julian. Susan glanced at one of the headlines while he scowled and did the same.

Julian gave a nod. They both hurried out the doorway. Then the rain started. The rain was freezing, and it was early January.
