Chapter 8 I, The Woman Of Julian
- Shaw Luke stared into Susan's eyes with no expression on his face. His eyes even showed a hint of contempt. Susan's heart felt as if it had suddenly been plunged into ice water. She was aware of Luke's treatment of her since he had forgotten about her. But at that moment, her sadness felt very genuine. She resisted crying and gave Luke a defiant look. "What happens if I don't apologize?" Luke gave a snort. "You should obey me, I say. If not, the Jenkins household." "How is the Jenkins family going to respond? "You're making a huge commitment there, Chairman Jenkins," a chilly voice cut in.
- Luke Jenkins was surprised to see Julian Shaw standing apathetically behind him as he turned around. "Julian Shaw?" But Julian turned his back on him and approached Susan. His eyes seemed to be on fire as he observed her lack of composure. "Dumb woman, don't you know how to dodge when someone is splashing something at you?" Julian yelled. Susan was surprised. "I...didn't have the time to dodge," she said quietly after a while. "You had no time to avoid? Don't you know how to get back at them, then? After giving a snort, Julian abruptly grabbed the coffee cup in front of Susan and threw its contents at Mandy. Julian Shaw would never have been suspected of doing such a thing.
- Mandy was soaked from head to toe in an instant. After a moment of shock, she said, "My hair! In the name of NôvelDrama.Org. I worked so hard on my hair! My clothing, my luggage. Mandy used a napkin to scrub her clothing aggressively. "Have you noticed that? It's the proper way to splash someone. Julian gave Susan a stern look. As he continued to boil in frustration, Susan became aware that she no longer feared him. She laughed and snorted. "Yes, I did!" "Dumb woman, I’ll kill you if you let yourself be on the losing end again." When Julian saw Susan grin, his face appeared to lighten, but when he assisted her in getting to his feet, his demeanor remained solemn. "What does this mean, Julian?"
