Chapter 96

• The police officer locked up the cell door and was about to leave when Jane held his leg from the opening at the bottom of the gate. He twisted his face, bringing out the handcuff in his pocket, intending to hit it on her hand, but she let out a scream that almost deafened him, causing him to cover his ears with both of his palms.
• Another officer came forward after noticing what was going on. He looked at Jane, whose eyes were all swollen and red, and turned to his colleague, “What is wrong with her?”
• “I have to see someone. You should call Helen for me.” Jane yelled at them.
