• Shannon wiped her cheeks the moment she heard the door click. Miranda and the doctor walked in, and he examined Georgie thoroughly before turning to Shannon, saying, “He's very fine and will recover soon.”
• “What does that mean? Why should you tell her that?” Georgie voiced out and gritted his teeth to the pain that overwhelmed him. He glared at the doctor and sniffed, “Who is she that you're telling her that? Why is there none of my family here?”
• The doctor looked at Shannon, forming a baffled look, and then he glanced at Georgie again. He walked to him and placed the back of his palm on Georgie’s neck, his brows creased. “I'll be back.” was all he said before leaving the ward.
