• The phone screen light on the floor drew Georgie's attention, but before he could reach it, Shannon picked it up and dropped it on the bed. She turned to him, tears gathered in her eyes, “We must leave tomorrow. If you won’t, then I'll leave you behind.”
• He narrowed his gaze, baffled. “Why did you say that? Is there any problem?”
• “I have something to deal with, that's why I must leave before it becomes late.” she snapped at him and got her ass glued to the bed. Her heart palpitated. The sound of the gunshot rang in her ear again, and she shut her eyes. ‘I hope he is alive. I pray he doesn't get hurt all because of me.’
