• The sound of Georgie's shoes called for his parents' attention. He was humming, his lips parting slightly as he approached the stairs. When he sighted them, he bowed in greetings and continued his walk while they stared at him as he climbed the stairs.
• It seemed weird. They couldn't tell the last time they saw him in that mood. Georgie wasn't the one who would smile no matter how funny things were, talk more about humming and responding to the sound.
• He entered his room, pulled out his jacket, and then dropped it on the bed.
