Chapter 24

• The moment Shannon caught Mr Georgie’s gaze on her, she hurried to her feet, walking as fast as she could until she left the hospital building. She entered the cab she had boarded, and when she peeped through the door glass, she saw him standing on the veranda of the building, staring at the car until it drove off.
• She grasped her clothes, heart racing. ‘What the heck just happened? I met him here. What would I give as a response if he asked me?’ she glanced at the rearview to see the driver throwing glances at her. “Is there any problem?”
• The driver shook his head. “Not at all! You just seem panicked, so I want to be sure you are safe so I won't be a victim of a passenger passing out in my car….” the driver uttered. “The news spread all over the place, and that made drivers more cautious than ever to not become murder suspects.”
