Chapter 47
- It was the full moon. Shannon was sitting beside Georgie, her head resting on his shoulder, as she told him all sorts of folk tales her parents had told her when she was a kid.
- He listened attentively, chuckled when she talked about the funny ones, and wrapped his arms around her body while he spared glances on her face. Several times, he recalled the news his PA had told him two weeks ago when they had just come for the vacation, and then he began running his finger in her hair to get rid of the guilt.
- If only he didn't know who Shannon was, that feeling wouldn't be intense…..but the thought of recalling that he made his contract bride an orphan always weakened his bones.
