Chapter 108

• Since the kids went to sleep, Georgie was unable to shut his eyes. He rolled to each side of the bed, thinking over the news he had gotten from the doctor.
• He narrowed his eyes, staring at the ceiling. “Is that true? Oh, Shannon!” he covered his face in his palms and quickly sat up on the bed. He checked the time on his cell phone and gasped. “Still 2 am! Can't it just tick faster just for tonight?”
• After a long time sitting and recalling the time he had waited, several times he visited the hospital even with the kids, and how many times he went to pray in the church all through his life…he shook his head.
