Chapter 99

• Odessa gazed at the king's face. He was indeed lifeless like the other guards in the hallway. She assumed that the female assassin had drawn the bodies of the guards into the hallway so it wouldn't attract someone's attention outside.
• She looked at the sword she was holding and glanced at the female before raising it towards the king's chest. Her head was becoming heavier than she could hold, and this was her only chance.
• As she raised the sword, she rolled her eyes to the side to find the female watching the movement of the sword, so she flung it towards her belly with her last strength and dropped on the floor, a low wince grumbled out of her lips.
