Chapter 80

• There were two soldiers in the corridor when Odessa and Henry reached her hut. She walked and signaled Henry to stay back and wait outside.
• In her room, Lyra was seated on the floor with a bottle of liquor in her palm. She raised it and sipped from the bottle before turning to meet Odessa, whose fingers were tangling her dress, staring at her with pitiful eyes.
• She placed the bottle at her side and brought from the side of her cloak, four papers which she handed over to her, “Go through them and explain what is going on.”
