Chapter 56

After the gathering, Pandra was released. She stared at the chief minister's skull and his body which lay differently before breaking into tears. She got hold of herself until she escaped from the hall, then she hid at the fortress, weeping out her eyes.
Heaven knows so well that she did that to save her ass. She didn't even know that the king wouldn't think twice to execute him. She had thought that he would be given some grace, unlike her, who was just a mistress.
She sniffled, her head buried between her legs as she sobbed, her tears dropping on the soul.
