• “Just have in mind that the King isn't gonna take it lightly with you. It's been over an hour since he sent for you, and you're still patrolling here.” Lyra yelled at Ronan, who was busy with the chain wrapped around the tree.
• He pulled out the chain and threw it towards her, watching as she caught it and stumbled backwards. “It slipped my mind that he sent for me, and I'm certain my punishment will be a heavy one,” he responded and turned his back to her, leaving the premises.
• Knowing the type of master he was serving, he was sure that the King wasn't that merciful and wouldn't let it slide. He had visited a suspicious cave with his men after receiving the King's order, and that might be the reason he was unable to be reached out to as Lyra had also complained.
