• When Ronan reached the King's chamber, he was still standing at that same spot beside the lampstand. He didn't flinch or yell at him for barging into her room that way without being ordered to enter. “I knew you would return after throwing her in there. What do you want me to do for you? She's a traitor.”
• “I agree, my King.” Ronan bowed, his forehead touching the ground. “Lyra committed the worst crime, but I still do not believe that she would do that. That's why I'm here.”
