  • Along the way, servants and slaves shifted aside when they saw Odessa running. Her tears clouded her vision, but she still didn't care. She raised her gown, squeezing it, sniffling continuously while running as fast as her legs could carry her.

  • Her breathing was so fast that she couldn't control it. She wiped her face and stood again, releasing a hanging air even though it didn't make her feel better. “Will he ever forgive me again? Why will my brothers do that to him?” She burst into tears again and resumed her race.
