Chapter 47
- “Get her arrested and interrogate her until she tells the truth!” the King ordered, walking towards the lampstand. “You must tell the truth, Lyra. Remember, I know no family when it comes to punishing a traitor or rebel.” His voice echoed in the room again.
- Ronan bowed to the king after sparing Lyra a glance. “Yes, Your Majesty!!" He nibbled the inside of his lips and stood up. His eyes fell on Lyra, who couldn't utter a word or look back at him. “I wouldn't like you dragged……”
- “I'll go by myself.” Lyra chipped in between his sentences and stood up. She bowed to the king and made use of the door, and Ronan trailed behind her. She walked past the several guards waiting for them, her shoulders high. When she reached the veranda, she turned and faced Ronan, her lips parting into a dirty smile, her arms folded against her chest.
