Chapter 78

• A young female slave hurried towards Eowyn and squatted. She glanced around to be sure no one was eavesdropping on their conversations, then she said to Eowyn, “I followed them and listened to all their conversations. She refused and even kicked him hard before leaving.”
• Eowyn dropped the potato she was peeling. She was leaving the farm with the bowl of potatoes when she saw the slave master leaving the farmland with Odessa. Knowing who the slave master was and what he was always up to, she sent off the female slave to spy on them.
• “Are you sure? She kicked a slave master?” Eowyn scoffed and ran her tongue at the side of her lips. “She's so arrogant. I wonder what she thinks she is.”
