Chapter 23

• All the minutes—that was almost an hour—she had been running, her eyes fixated on the moon as it was gradually disappearing into the cloud. There was just a tiny part of it left, and if she wasn't fast enough, she wouldn't still make it.
• She kept running despite being lost for breath, and as soon she reached the veranda that would take her to the King's chamber, a mighty growl of the creature emerged, causing the people around the chamber to cover their ears.
• “It's too aggressive. How will I get near it?” Odessa pondered, reaching closer to the door when the beast kicked it away with its paw, causing everyone to step backwards. She froze and watched the door slam on the floor, and the mighty creature raised its head to the sky, releasing a roar into the air.
