• Lyra jerked from the pavement when the sound of the beast slamming its body against the door echoed in the air. She looked around to see the guards' gazes, standing alert but with fear lurking around them.
• Once the beast escapes from its room, they would be the first to be devoured because, in that state, the King does not recognize any of them.
• The only one that would make him surrender was his mate, and most importantly, if she was in her heat, then everything would be light to handle.
