• The slave master walked for some time and turned only to see Odessa still standing at that same spot, staring at him. He grimaced and yelled at her, “What is holding you there? Come forward!!”
• Odessa shuddered and hurried to him. Her body hair stood out, making her skin look chilly. She walked foot to foot with the slave master, praying that he would actually show her the other places where she could work in the future without any bad intentions.
• She tucked her hands to the side, walking with her heart palpitating.
