Maya's POV
“What was that I just witnessed? There must be something that is going on underground that they are not saying.” I thought for a moment before I stood up from the chair, unable to decide whether to walk away from him or just stand there with him. It was silent standing there with him, and it was getting uncomfortable, so I just took a deep breath and started to walk away.
“You are just going to leave like that? You aren't going to say anything to me? Or do you want to tell me that you don't know what is going on around the pack?” Alpha James asked in a low tone, and I was forced to halt my steps and turned around to look at him. I wondered for a moment what he was talking about and when I could not get anything, I resorted to clearing my throat slightly, giving him a puzzled look before I talked.
