• “Since Lady Genevieve had hinted that I was going to spend close to a year there, then I need to prepare well. I thought it was just going to be me and him there for only a week or two.” These thoughts ran through my mind and I just could not help but stay quiet. Before I could say anything, Maya had stood up from the chair and was ready to bow, but I was not ready to let her go just yet. I knew she was pained by the news that alpha James was going to spend close to a year before he returned to the pack with me as his wife; that's, of course, if he doesn't tell my dad what I asked him to tell him.
