Chapter 18 Lone Time

• Maya's POV
• She walked into the room but the expression on her face changed immediately as her gaze fell on me. My eyes were fixed in a direction and she needed no one to tell her that I had a lot running through my mind at that moment. I waited for her to come back to reality but she was not close to getting out of her thoughts.
• "What is going on? Why do you seem to be lost in thoughts?" She asked me and I immediately jolted back to reality as I tilted my head, heaving a heavy sigh. I walked towards her slowly as if I were counting my steps while I approached her.
