• I stood there in front of Allan. For a moment I tried to recall what he said a while ago. My father is responsible for the extinction of his father's pack that subjected him to this. I felt pity for him but I didn't understand what my role was in all of it. If he had any scores to settle, he had better settle it with my father while he was alive and not now and not with me. He didn't seem to want to understand that at all. He looked like his mind was already made up.
• "Well, I don't want anything to happen to me or my pack. If you have any scores to settle, when you get there, where he is, you can hold him responsible. This is just an act of cowardice." I didn't hesitate to tell him what I was thinking and just then, he came at me with anger and fury, masking his face. I stood my ground and defended myself before the physical encounter took a serious turn.
