Chapter 41 Nasty Ride!

• Maya's POV
• I stood there, trembling in fear as I continued to hear the rapid footsteps approaching me. "Who could it be? Alpha Darius or who?" I asked myself as I stood there shaking. My eyes were wide open and Evelyn could confirm that I was scared of who was coming. She tried to talk but I placed my hand against her mouth to keep her shut. Suddenly the person stopped right behind me and from the look on her face, it was definitely none of the two people that I thought it was going to be. "Who was it then?" I asked myself as I tilted my head to look back and see who it was.
• "There you are? I have been looking all over for you. The alpha wants to see you in his room right away. He said you should not wait a minute." He said rapidly, walking away from me. Nothing seems to be working in my head. I stood there for a moment, wondering what could have happened. "Perhaps James had offended alpha Darius too for him to be so hellbent on taking this pack." I thought for a while before I inhaled deeply, trying to cancel all of those thoughts from my head before I tilted my head back to look at Evelyn who already had a devilish smile on her face.
