• It was quiet in the house. Isabella had been out since morning and her mother had been worried sick where she went. Lady Genevieve paced around the sitting room as she constantly checked the time on the wall. She took several deep breaths to calm her racing heart but none of her measures seemed to be working at that moment. She noticed a maid passing by and she quickly drew her attention. The maid walked towards her, bowing her head slightly to greet her. Lady Genevieve didn't utter a word in response to her greeting, rather, she went straight to the point why she had summoned her.
• "Do you have any idea where Isabella went?" She asked in a low tone wrapped with anger and frustration. For some reason, she was scared for her child's safety.
