Chapter 45 Nagging Feeling

• "So what you mean to tell me now is that you left your only child in the hands of another alpha. How would you both even think of that?" Isabella asked her mother in a low tone as she looked away from her. Lady Genevieve inhaled deeply before she cleared her throat slightly to talk.
• "You need to calm down and don't get this the wrong way. That's just how the tradition is over here." She tried to explain but Isabella was not having it at all. She wanted to be alone all of a sudden and the one way she could achieve that was to keep mute and not respond to her again. There was a moment of silence in the room and then she inhaled deeply before she started to talk.
