Chapter 9 Nine

  • "What!" Joan exclaimed with her eyes now wide in surprise because of what he said. "I see no problem in me staying here. to keep you safe, " He said. Joan let out a deep sigh. when she had left the Palace that day, if he had been this outspoken and not just watched her leave, maybe she would have stayed behind with him. Thinking about it made Joan a little upset and a deep frown now settled on her face. "I can make whatever decision I choose. You can't stay here, " She said firmly with finality in her tone...
  • "Then are you coming with us?" He asked. "I was supposed to be thinking about that when you came in here to interrupt my thoughts," she retorted, and silence reigned between them after. Liam could only stare at her with regret in his heart. He wanted to tell her he was sorry and that he missed her and he wanted to hug her and feel her warmth. He wanted to tell her that she was his queen. and that he wanted to be with her at every second and every minute. That he wanted to mark her. Liam swallowed when his eyes landed on her neck and his wolf growled loudly within him in response. He wasn't sure how or why, but he was one of the lycans who could be out for this long without marking their mate. a normal werewolf would be on the edge of going feral if their mate were standing in front of them, especially if they had been apart. But he was trying his best to hold his wolf back from taking total control of his body.
  • His eye colour started to fluctuate from blue to red, and he immediately turned his back to her before she noticed. "I should give you time to think then," He said and hurriedly left her alone in the kitchen before she could say anything. He didn't return to the living room s others wouldn't notice but instead walked to another side of the house to get his wolf under control.
