Chapter 44 Forty Four

• Lilac propped herself up with her elbow and sighed. she didn't know how to feel about Jonathan's reaction.. She didn't even know how to feel about what she it... She was shocked as she was, but she couldn't ignore it anymore and thought it was time for him to know instead of hiding it from him any longer. "Are you sure?" Johnathan managed to say after almost a minute, and she shook her head. Lilac shifted and placed her back on the head wood of the bed. "I'm not completely sure, maybe about seventy per cent." She ran her through her hair and sighed again... "I'm sorry... this is really unexpected. " Johnathan immediately took her hand in his."Why are you sorry... you don't have to be... we will see a healer first thing tomorrow, okay?" He said softly. She nodded and laid back down. She was wide awake now staring at the ceiling of the room. She knew Johnathan was wide awake now, too. she had given him something to think about through the entire night. Alice, baby, on the way during a time like this, already made them worried now she...lilac sighed and turned to look at Johnathan, but his eyes were on her flat belly inside of her... "Johnathan." She called his name softly, and he raised his eyes to look at her... Her hand slowly travelled to his face, and he closed his eyes as soon as her hand came in contact with his face. He touch was tender and soothing... "I'm scared too," She said in a voice close to whisper, and his eyes fluttered open. "We don't know for sure yet..." She added and smiled at him, so he wouldn't be so tensed up... She knew how he was... and knew he would become more overprotective than he already was... "We will be okay," She assured, and he nodded and snuggled closer into her arms... Johnathan planted a soft kiss on her nose and then her forehead and held her close...
